pilgrimage

success- adventure- admiring a venture
clearness in the way I speak
a clean tongue
blankness for the initial creation
an open slate with an open heart
with an unsated curiosity
a faith in the rolling stone
heaving and pitching along the willful path
     unlike the scattered dusty tumbleweed

a step to begin
to move along the pilgrimage
to march alongside kings
eyes on the tower in the distance
the sacred resting place where we all
meditate refill and grow larger inside ourselves
then step anew
one sandalled foot in front of the other
each inch gained a a miracle

so many angels live inside us
the random moments of float
and flight- tickled ballerina toes
leaping and vibrating

solemnity gathers in the corners of my eyes
I blink a glance away so full of
pretension and projection
to encounter other souls
and leave all judgment, control, and objectifying manners behind
I can walk among kings and share the road to salvation

success
in bitter winter
warm blood travels
strong visions blossom
drop seeds
and propogate a pattern

disjointed regret

retreat into dark corners
soft shapes resilient
giving to my crush and set
bones heavy organ'd blood

pangs in a twirling
give back the shredded
nourishment of a holiday
comforting customs
sit uneasy in my belly

I sacrificed goodness for pleasure
moral inequality
dear lives ones of deadened neglect
one day better nurtur'd
and dreamed of comes to the weary
